LONG TIME NO SEE

Hello cyber friends. I am back. It has been over a year since I have posted on my blog, since the day before we made history and voted for our President. I have been reading a few inspiring blogs that are amazing and have inspired me to put my thoughts down myself. Some of my thoughts aren't as deep or intriguing as others, but I have my occasional brilliance. So I will try to write down my thoughts as much as I can, even if no one reads them. It is just nice to put down your feelings into something concrete to prevent you from madness. So lets talk soon. K bye. And P.S. Merry Christmas.

THE BIG DAY

So tommorow is the big day. A day that I have been long waiting for. The day when we decide how to fix this great country that we live in. America has been a disaster over the last few years. The rest of the world hates us. But tommorow is our time to change that. So I hope that ALL of you go out and vote tommorow. And when you are voting, think about who is going to stand up for your job and is looking out for the average american. The decision should be easy. Lets make tommorow the promise of the future. Lets go out and make it happen! See you at the polls.

The C word

Hello friends. I would just like to give a quick shout out to all of my friends out there. A month and a half ago my dad was diagnosed with colon cancer. They say they can treat it but they aren't sure if they can get rid of it. It has been tough and trying times for the ol' Sloan family. But thanks to the great support from all of our friends, we have been staying positive and hoping for the best. I am truly fortunate to have such a great support group around me. So thank you all for being there.
OK then. Enough sob story. Go live your lives and enjoy every day! Talk to you soon.

WILDCAT!

So I couldn't help myself, but after sulking all of last season, I just have to say, HOW 'BOUT THEM DOLPHINS! They have beaten the 2 teams in last years AFC championship game (the Chargers and the hated Patriots). And thanks to the new throwback "wildcat" formation they have been running, they are running all over teams. Ronnie Brown looks like an MVP candidate, Pennington looks like a savior and the Tuna looks like a GENIUS! And the cherry on top of this phenominal turnaround, their kicker is Montana's finest, DANNY CARPENTER! Dan used to rub elbows with the 1540 boys, now he is kickin it in South Beach. Keep up the good work Dan. Alright, thats it. Go Fins baby!

The New Era

Hello friends. Nate Sloan here. Just chillaxin on one of my few days off. I have been workin my tail off to provide the Garden City with a magnificent place to gather and eat great food and consume the best spirits Montana has to offer. But thats not what I want to talk about. I want to talk about Decision '08. This is one of my favorite times of the year. The leaves are turning, the sun is shining, the air is crisp and the elections are red hot! This is the biggest and most influential elections any of us has ever witnessed. And if you haven't decided who you are going to vote for yet, remove your head from your ass and read a newspaper. And if you don't plan on voting because you think your vote doesn't matter, I feel sorry for you. This decision will make history. We will look back at this as a major turning point in this country. I am so grateful to be a part of it. (This is where I start thinking about "Black Sheep" and Farley yelling, "VOTE FOR DONNELLY!") So educate yourself. Then go and make sure you are registered to vote. NOW. See you Nov. 4th.
p.s. If all goes well, I will see you at the Union Club Nov. 4th. Go Blue!

Nasty Thought of the Day-
- If John McCain is such a "Maverick," and that ssems to make him a great candidate, then why aren't other "Mavericks" running for President? Have any of you seen a little movie called "Top Gun?" I think Maverick would be a great Republican candidate. He has served in the Air Force, and think of the volleyball games out in the White House front lawn! So republicans, when 2010 rolls around, watch Top Gun. MAVERICK/GOOSE in 2012!
-Stay Nasty,
Nate
